- In a Monday call-in on the Fox Business Network, he said he won't run for a House seat in 2022.

Former President Donald Trump said it's "highly unlikely" he will seek a House seat in 2022.
In an interview on the Fox Business Network, Trump poured cold water on the latest conservative media theory surrounding his potential return to power.
"Well, so many people are saying that I should run in '22, and I think that's highly unlikely, but they do say that a lot … You know, there's a whole theory behind that," Trump said with a chuckle. "We won't get into that."
Trump did say once again that he's looking at running for president again in 2024.
The 2022 theory began with a right-wing talk radio host who speculated that Trump could run in a safe district and become House Speaker if the GOP were to flip the majority in the 2022 midterms.
Theoretically, anyone could become speaker because the Constitution does not explicitly limit it to sitting members of Congress.
"Then you become the Speaker of the House, lead the impeachment of Biden and start criminal investigations against Biden. You'll wipe him out for this last two years," host Wayne Allyn Root suggested on June 4.

Trump also repeated his lies about the 2020 election during his call-in with Fox Business host Stuart Varney. "I won the election, but they cheated," he said.
He also voiced a baseless conspiracy theory against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, accusing him of using "phony lock boxes" containing 90% of "Biden votes." It's unclear exactly what Trump was referring to.
Trump said he remains banned from social media companies because they're run by "radical left crazy people" who "don't want to hear a sane voice."
